The name Jivamukti means “liberation while living.” It is taken
from the Sanskrit term "Jivanmukta" which is used to describe
the state of enlightenment.
Jivamukti Yoga offers vigorously physical and intellectually
stimulating classes. Classes include Vinyasa (flowing asana
sequences), hands-on adjustments, Pranayama (breathing
exercises), meditation, Sanskrit chanting, Yogic philosophical
teachings and deep relaxation with music playing an integral
role in the class.
The main tenets of the Jivamukti style are:
* Scripture – teachings drawn from the ancient
Sanskrit texts
* Bhakti – recognition that God realisation is the
goal of all yoga practices
* Ahimsa – providing education information
about food & environment
* Nada – promoting the study of Nada Yoga
(yoga of sound)
* Meditation – encouraging meditation as an
essential part of the yoga practice.

Power/Vinyasa Class
Vinyasa means “to link movement with breath.” With a variety of
options in each pose, this class is suitable for most students after
they have taken a few hatha and/or gentle vinyasa classes.
Postures are linked together making a energetic and flowing
sequence that will allow your worries to melt away and your
practice to be challenged. Be uplifted and inspired!
Intro to Power/Vinyasa
For all levels. This class introduces the alignment and flow of
Power (vinyasa) yoga. The movement of the class will help
build cardio and endurance, while toning and strengthening
your muscles.
Hatha Yoga
Breathe, relax and smile. Whether you are looking for a way to
rest and rejuvenate, to release tension or to stretch your sore
muscles, Hatha yoga will benefit you. A classical form of yoga
that focuses on postures and breathing to bring the body and
mind into greater alignment. An uplifting practice to help stretch
and tone muscles, calm the mind and detoxify internal organs to
bring about a state of relaxation.
A great introduction to yoga and for those who like a slower,
more meditative practice.
