This is a gentle yoga class that modifies and uses poses
that are safe for pregnancy. It incorporates areas that are
beneficial to giving birth naturally including postures, breath
work and vocal toning. It helps to enhance relaxation, comfort,
and enjoyment during your pregnancy. Calm and flexibility
ease the birthing process, thus reducing pain and increasing the
joy of giving birth. The class helps moms-to-be to prepare for
an active and natural birth.
Pregnant women need to be in good shape and with regular
yoga practice, you will strengthen and stretch your muscles,
preparing your body for birth. You will also improve postural
alignment, helping to prevent backache due to the added
weight of the baby and larger breasts. Other physical benefits
include breathing techniques that help women find pockets
of breathing space in their lungs that they might not normally
utilise.
The classes provide an opportunity to develop greater vitality
and awareness of your body that is home for two, as well as
deepen your relationship with the baby.
